Manager, Emerging Technologies, Solvay Pharmaceuticals.
In his role as Manager, Emerging Technologies for Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Bruce McMillan looks for new technologies that will give his company a competitive advantage in the marketplace. During his 16 years at Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Bruce has been responsible for the design, installation and management of the network and server infrastructure as well as a state-of-the-art data center. His virtualization project at Solvay Pharmaceuticals was selected as one of the InfoWorld Top 100 IT Projects for 2006 and was an honoree for the 2006 ComputerWorld Best Practices in Infrastructure Management award in the area of Distributed Systems and Infrastructure Implementation / Dynamic Infrastructure. Bruce is also the co-chair of the Atlanta Area VMware Users Group. He has over 27 years of IT experience and graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Information Systems.
