Vice President, Sun Microsystems, Inc.
Damien Eastwood, Vice President, Products and Technology Law, leads the
organization that provides legal support for Software, Storage,Systems,
Services, WWOP's, GBS and GSS. He has been at Sun for over 11 years
supporting various technology areas including Microelectronics,
JavaSoft, Technology Law Group, IP Strategic Transactions and M&A, and
the Products Law Group. He has provided legal support for complex
software and technology issues including counseling, transactions and
acquisition support, and was instrumental in leading various teams in
the creation of a number of legal policies, processes, and playbooks
related to the creation and development of Sun's products and technologies.
For five years prior to joining Sun, he was European Corporate Counsel for
Novell, located in the United Kingdom, and was previously employed as
Associate General Counsel for Amstrad, PLC a UK Consumer Electronics
company with products ranging from Personal Computers, TV's and VCR's to
Satellite Receiving and Decoding equipment.
