Robert was selected as the Director of the Department of Information Technology in the Office of the Executive Secretary in September of 2005. Robert's service to the Supreme Court of Virginia's DJIT Department dates back to 1993, when he started as a Computer Programmer/Analyst for a UNIX-based records indexing system. During this time, Robert was instrumental in developing and implementing imaging capabilities for the records indexing system. In 1996, he was promoted to UNIX/LAN Team Leader and, in 2002, to the Network Applications Division Manager position. Over the course of his career, Robert has worked with a variety of operating systems and languages.
In 2006, after 25 years of military service, Robert retired from the District of Columbia Air National Guard.
Robert holds a degree in Business Management from the University of Phoenix.
