Open Source Relations Manager, AMD.
Marc Miller's career spans multiple aspects of information technology, including project development, implementation and management and most recently in marketing to develop strategic business to business partnerships, spearheading the launch of new technologies industry-wide.
Mr. Miller is currently entering the seventh year of his tenure with AMD, Advanced Micro Devices, Inc., bridging a critical gap between industry-leading software development and cutting-edge microprocessor technology developed by AMD, a global provider of microprocessor solutions with almost $6 billion in net sales. In January, Marc took on a role as the open source software expert in the AMD Developer Services organization, enabling Linux kernel and application developers to develop superior code using both AMD and 3rd party tools and resources. In his role as Strategic Alliance Manager 2001-2006, Mr. Miller has been critical in co-developing a Linux go-to-market strategy with a focus on integration of AMD's new technology products and software tools developed by industry partners, and alignment with OEM Linux go-to-market strategies.
Throughout his career at AMD, Marc has been the key contact for open source developers wishing to work with AMD, and AMD's open source ambassador, coordinating all efforts and outbound and inbound communication between AMD and Linux developers.
