Biography
Brad Lhotsky
Security Administrator, National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Brad works for the NIH's National Institute on Aging (NIA) where he is primarily responsible for system security. As a small organization, NIH relies heavily on Open Source projects. As staff is also limited, he also serves as the MySQL and PostgreSQL DBA, Linux System Administrator, and Utility Perl Programmer.

He's been interested in Network Security since being hacked in 1999 through one of the countless vulnerabilities in BIND 8. Since then he's attempted to understand software, host, and network security in the context of his direct responsibilities and the responsibilities of those around him.
