A1:  Building Rich Internet Applications with an Open Source Stack

Developers can now use a full open source stack to build Rich Internet Applications. This session will cover how to use open source and cross-platform technologies such as the OpenJDK, Adobe Flex SDK, Adobe BlazeDS, JBoss AS, Apache Tomcat and Eclipse to build more compelling internet based applications.

Attendees will learn what RIAs are with examples and characteristics. Attendees will also learn what their RIA options are, and what technologies are available to them. Finally, they will learn how to build RIAs using Open Source back-end development with the OpenJDK, Adobe BlazeDS, JBoss AS and Apache Tomcat, and Open Source front-end development with the Adobe Flex SDK.
