TR:  Hands-On Lab - Embedded Linux Development: Hacking the Linksys NSLU2
Monday, August 4, 2008, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Speaker:
Michael Anderson, CTO/Chief Scientist, The PTR Group.

Linux is taking a large role in the realm of embedded systems. Cell phones, SOHO routers, NAS boxes and more are all starting to run Linux. However, most of these platforms use a non-x86 processor.

This tutorial will lead the attendee through the process of setting up for embedded Linux development and actually getting code running on an embedded Linux target -- the Linksys NSLU2 (a.k.a. the NSlug).

For this Lab, the attendee will bring their own laptops for use. We will be booting a live DVD for the work and each attendee with get their own NSlug to take home.
