Speaker: Bernard Golden, Chief Executive Officer, Navica.
Users of Linux have benefited tremendously by the endorsement and support of major technology vendors. However, these vendors are much less committed to other open source products, since they often have their own software products that are challenged by open source. As IT organizations begin to consider other open source products they will need to be more self-reliant and capable of assessing the products themselves. This session explores the key open source product elements that IT organizations must assess and introduces the Open Source Maturity Model, a formal methodology to determine open source product maturity.
