Thanks for Participating in LinuxWorld San Francisco 2005!
LinuxWorld Conference and Expo San Francisco continues to be one of the most exciting and informative events on Linux and open source. Over 200 of the top companies in the industry exhibited to the thousands of attendees that packed the hall each day. The .org Pavilion featured 25 of the leading projects that continue to make great contributions.
The event featured a line up of thought provoking keynotes including: The Mozilla Foundation, Red Hat, Oracle Corporation, HP, IBM, and a panel discussion headed by OSDL.
The buzz was high on day one as the annual Golden Penguin Bowl featured the ultimate battle of Google vs. Microsoft (with Google coming out victorious). The excitement continued as the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards (judged by an independent panel) were handed out, honoring the top Linux and open source products.
The four day educational program was packed and included sessions in eight main tracks, along with a day of Hands-on Labs and Tutorials. LinuxWorld also launched the *new* System Administration Workshop, and held a Linux in Government Day. The Technology Showcase (open to all attendees) offered a taste of the conference program with over 10 hours of free educational opportunities.
