 01/14/2004 - FRAMINGHAM, Mass. – January 14, 2004 – IDG World Expo, the leading producer of world-class tradeshows, conferences and events for technology markets around the globe, today announced finalists for the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards, to be presented at LinuxWorld Conference & Expo® next week. Presented in conjunction with the UniForum Association, the LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards recognize product and service innovations by LinuxWorld exhibitors.
 LinuxWorld Conference & Expo, the world’s most comprehensive Linux and open source event, will take place January 20-23, 2003 at New York City’s Javits Center. The LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards will be presented in a ceremony held on the LinuxWorld exhibit floor on Wednesday, January 21 at 4:00 p.m.
The LinuxWorld Product Excellence Awards are divided into ten product categories, representing major areas of innovation in the Linux and open source community. The judges will also select one product or service that represents a major step forward for Linux in the marketplace as “Best of Show.”
