Terry Barbounis
Chief Technology Officer, The Christian Science Monitor.

Terry Barbounis has served as the chief technology officer for The Christian Science Monitor, and its parent organizations - The First Church of Christ, Scientist (TFCCS) and The Christian Science Publishing Society, since 2005. Mr. Barbounis joined the organization as the manager of Systems Services in 2002. Prior to joining TFCCS, Mr. Barbounis spent over 12 years honing his technical expertise with organizations such as GE Capital IT Solutions, Sony Electronics, AT&T, and Student Advantage. He is now responsible for directing all activities related to running the TFCCS global IT infrastructure and services, research and development, and bringing value to the business through the application of community developed technology. Over the last 2 years, Mr. Barbounis’s focus has been the migration of the TFCCS technology “stack” to an open source/open standards model, both from a development and support perspective.
