Anthony Gold currently has responsibility for the Open Source business within Unisys, providing global leadership in delivering market-leading solutions for this billion dollar business. He developed the Open Source strategy for Unisys and managed the development of the solution portfolio and all go-to-market execution plans. Anthony has established Unisys as "Open Source's biggest services gun," as noted by InfoWorld. He authors an executive's blog on open source, which has been syndicated by multiple news agencies.
Previously, Anthony ran the ES7000 Systems organization. The ES7000, the world's first Intel mainframe, drove unparalleled levels of performance, scalability, and reliability into the enterprise computing space. Anthony has eight patents around enterprise server architecture & design, and was one of the inventors of the ES7000. He is writing a book on how businesses can transform themselves leveraging open standards and services-oriented architectures. Anthony graduated from Drexel University with a BS in electrical engineering.
